NOVA Transition Engadine – where everything is fresh and new

Trainees are nurtured at NOVA Transition Engadine. NOVA Transition’s school leaver employment supports include working with individual trainees to explore their employment goals and interests. We offer an individual and intimate environment in which trainees learn the skills they need to find and keep a great job.

But group supports are also a big part of the week at Engadine NOVA Transition. We cook together, hear guest speakers and join NOVA Transition Caringbah for industry visits.

A favourite activity is news review, where each trainee picks a news story that interests them. They then learn more about the issues and discuss their opinions. It’s a great way for trainees to learn about the world. It also develops their reading, researching and analytical skills. They’re eager to learn and form opinions on important topics and understand that being well informed opens the door to workplace conversations.

Our employment consultant and manager are very caring and hands on. We all work together. We have a smart casual dress code that our trainees take seriously.

Work experience is an important element of NOVA Transition. Our relationships with local businesses means that our trainees get to try a variety of different work placements, which helps them to discover what sort of work is best for them. Many of our trainees find and keep a job through a work placement.

Watch this video to see how we helped Casey land his dream job through a work experience placement! He’s set for life.
